In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union
In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Youth Union of the VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, under the Youth Union of the University of Danang, organized a meaningful activity titled “Journey to Historical Landmarks” 2026.
The program provided an opportunity for youth members to demonstrate their proactiveness while strengthening education on revolutionary traditions in a modern context.

Historical Destination: Chín Hầm Historical Site
The destination of the journey was the Chín Hầm Historical Site, located amidst pine forests on Thiên Thai Mountain in Huế. This site is closely associated with significant historical imprints during the nation’s struggle for independence.
A Historical Witness and a Symbol of National Resilience
The Chín Hầm site was once used by Ngô Đình Cẩn to detain and torture Vietnamese revolutionaries and patriots.
Beyond being a painful historical witness, it also stands as a powerful symbol of resilience and the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people during years of hardship and struggle.

Significance of the Journey for Youth and Students
Through this activity, youth members had the opportunity to:
- Reflect on the nation’s proud historical traditions
- Strengthen their revolutionary ideals
- Foster patriotism and a strong sense of responsibility in the modern era
These core values play a vital role in shaping the mindset, attitudes, and actions of the younger generation in a context of integration and development.

Connecting Academic Learning with Practical Experience
The “Journey to Historical Landmarks” is one of the regular activities organized alongside academic programs at VNUK.
Through such initiatives, students are not only equipped with professional knowledge but also gain practical experience, develop essential skills, and cultivate the spirit of gratitude and remembrance—a cherished traditional value of the Vietnamese people.

Spreading Values and Social Responsibility
Meaningful journeys like this help students build a deeper connection with history, nurture positive values, and gradually grow in awareness and responsibility toward the community and society.
