In this internship season, VNUK-ers not only apply the knowledge they have learned but also develop soft skills, gain experience, and become more confident for the future.

I’m really happy that I had the opportunity to intern at Novotel Danang Premier Han River starting from my second year. At the beginning, everything was new, and I had to face many challenges. However, thanks to the thorough guidance from the team at Novotel, I gradually grasped the job and was able to complete my assigned tasks successfully.

Working in this position has given me a more comprehensive view of hotel operations. I also had the chance to participate directly in work processes, meet, and assist guests from various countries. Through this, I realized the importance of communication skills and gained a better understanding of the subtlety required in meeting the needs of different customers.

It has been over a month since I joined the “Heartists” team – the heartfelt service team of the Novotel family. At Novotel, the front desk team and interns like myself are always expected to be quick, dynamic, and have excellent language skills to provide the best customer service possible.

Entering the internship with some initial fear, I found that the knowledge and valuable experiences I gained at VNUK served as a great foundation, helping me during the first days on board. Gradually, I gained momentum to seize the opportunities for personal development.

At VNUK, I developed a lot, from language skills to professional expertise, right from the start. Since the program is 100% in English, I was exposed to the hospitality industry from year one through subjects like Guest Experience and Behaviour, English for Tourism, Room Division, Food and Beverage Management, etc. All these courses were taught by lecturers with real-world experience in 5-star hotels and resorts, providing me with a wealth of useful knowledge.

In addition to theoretical learning, we were also able to practice real-world scenarios, participate in business visits, and attend workshops where experts shared their experiences. Furthermore, at VNUK, I had the chance to join extracurricular activities with incredibly dynamic teammates from the VNUK Tourism and Hospitality Career Club (THC).

I feel very happy to have had the opportunity to experience a professional and dynamic working environment at MIS. My colleagues here have always been willing to support me and provide opportunities to learn, not only in terms of expertise but also soft skills. I believe the valuable experiences I’ve gained during this internship will help me feel more confident in my future career.

I also had the chance to participate in organizing large events, competitions, and courses such as Youth-on Hackathon, Junior Researcher, and Young Future Leader, where I could apply the knowledge I’ve learned while also improving important soft skills. These hands-on experiences will be precious assets for me as I move forward in my career path.

This internship has been the most important experience for me during my four years at university. Being able to intern in the position I desired, with guidance from my professors, is something I feel truly honored by. Moreover, this experience comes with the responsibility to focus and approach my work with the highest level of seriousness.

This internship has helped me better understand the nature of the job and broaden my perspective on the work involved, allowing me to “put my feet in someone else’s shoes.”

I just completed a 5-month internship at T&A Ogilvy, part of Ogilvy, one of the top communication companies in the world. I had the chance to face real-life work situations, meet and collaborate with many famous brands and industry leaders in the creative field. Additionally, this internship has helped me gain more clarity about the career path I want to pursue in the future.

During my time here, I learned the essential skills of an Account position in a prestigious communication agency. I also developed skills like Account Management, Time Management, and, most importantly, the lesson “Work smart, not hard” – especially when it comes to allocating tasks and setting priorities to meet project deadlines.

I have two words to describe my internship experience: “confused” and “proud.” Although this was not my first internship, it was my first time stepping into a completely different role compared to my previous experience. While I felt quite confused during the first few days, I made every effort to learn and complete the tasks assigned to me with the highest sense of responsibility.

With the guidance of my colleagues, I learned valuable knowledge and skills related to accounting, especially hotel accounting. Additionally, I had the opportunity to develop professional workplace etiquette and attention to detail. All these skills will serve as stepping stones for me to confidently pursue my future career.
