Team FLTs with the project “Anti-injury Wearable for Fall Prevention” – Champion of U-Invent 6
“Each member in our team has elderly or mobility-impaired relatives who often feel very cautious when going outside due to fear of sudden falls. Understanding this mindset, our group came up with the idea of a product to help elderly people feel safe while moving around, as well as reduce injuries caused by unexpected falls.”

What makes our product special is that it suits the conditions and characteristics of Vietnamese people. Our team chose a breathable, lightweight design to fit the climate and reduce costs, making it more accessible to Vietnamese consumers. Most importantly, safety is one of the most favored and outstanding features of the product, helping to reduce serious injuries caused by falls, as well as integrating an alarm whistle and a tracking device so users can receive timely medical support.
Team Shooting Stars with the project “Flood Rescue Backpack” – Consolation Prize of U-Invent 6
“Seeing the suffering our compatriots endure every flood season motivated us to create the product called the Flood Rescue Backpack. This product carries special value to help people and children in flood areas, hoping to reduce the painful and tearful situations that happen every year.”

U-Invent – A place that holds memorable moments for contestants
Quỳnh Như shared, “The moment I felt most proud was when Shooting Stars’ name was called on stage at the final round because this was both my first and last chance to be an U-Inventor.”
For Huy, it wasn’t just the moment when team FLTs was named the champion of season 6, but also the stories before the final round: “The night before the product presentation, we faced unexpected issues and had to stay at the Maker Innovation Space (VNUK’s Innovation Space) until 8 PM to fix errors. When we got home, we held a rehearsal meeting until 2 AM. Even though we felt stuck and a bit desperate that morning before the contest, our team kept a positive spirit to perform well during the final presentation.”

After completing the intense presentations, we received many compliments as well as valuable feedback from the judges. When the MC announced the Consolation and Third Prize winners, our team became even more nervous. Our emotions surged when we won the final award and received praise and best wishes from the judges, lecturers, and other contestants. Our team felt very proud.”
Message to U-Inventors 7
From his experience in the competition, Huy shares with U-Inventors 7: “Invest deeply in your ideas by applying DESIGN THINKING (Empathize – Define problem – Ideate – Prototype – Test) throughout the product development process. Don’t hesitate to stay at MIS (Maker Innovation Space) day and night to exchange and learn from the seniors. You will gain both knowledge and exciting experiences.”
