Pai Chai University is one of the oldest, but most modern universities in Daejeon City, South Korea. The school was founded in 1885 by a pioneer missionary named Henry G. Appenzeller. The campus is located right in the dynamic city of Daejeon. This school produced many famous names in the past 132 years such as the poet So-wol Kim, the first President of Korea Dr. Seungman Rhee, and the famous Korean linguist Ju Si-gyeong.

Conditions of participation

• Completed at least 1 year of study at VNUK;
• GPA of at least 2.5/4.0 (up to registration);
• Approved by the Head of Department/Dean of the Faculty about program participation and the study intended subjects at Pai Chai.

Preparation

1. Application for participation in the program;
2. A copy of the passport;
3. A transcript of academic records at VNUK;
4. Confirmation paper as a VNUK student;
5. A letter of recommendation from VNUK;
6. Health check certificate (optional) at the request of Pai Chai or students can do a health check when they arrive at the school dormitory;
7. A copy of health insurance or student insurance can be purchased upon arrival in Pai Chai.
