Recently, the WildHacks Hackathon: Real AI for Biz Challenge took place vibrantly at the Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), bringing together students from various universities in Da Nang as well as faculty and students from Westmont College (USA).

With a strong commitment to internationalization and innovation, VNUK was not only the host venue but also a bridge of global knowledge—where students are empowered to access cutting-edge perspectives in technology, entrepreneurship, and creativity on an international scale.

This event also marked the beginning of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between VNUK and Wildcats Global, aimed at collaboration in education, scientific research, and technology transfer. The agreement lays the foundation for deeper partnerships, enhancing the quality of education and unlocking greater opportunities for students.

Over the course of 24 intense hours, participating teams joined a series of in-depth workshops and developed AI-powered solutions to real-world business challenges, guided by industry experts:
– “Fuzzy Frontend: Empathy Map and Design Thinking” – Ms. Melissa Lo, CEO of Wildcats Global.
– “Decision and Risk Analysis for Entrepreneurs” – Mr. Phil.

Teams developed and pitched AI-powered solutions to tackle real-world business problems faced by local enterprises. The hackathon concluded in a vibrant, high-energy atmosphere with inspiring final presentations on September 30, where five outstanding teams were honored for their creativity and practical impact:
– AI Tailor – A digital tailoring platform that enables users to measure, choose styles, and order custom-made clothes online, connecting with Hoi An tailors and bringing Vietnamese craftsmanship to the world.
– DJ.ai – A real-time collaborative music platform that creates dynamic soundtracks for parties and social gatherings.
– Les Chats – An open, cage-free cat shelter model at the French Institute of Danang that raises funds and provides humane care for stray cats.
– Human Billboard – An innovative advertising concept turning people into walking billboards for mutual benefit between businesses and individuals.
– Spendasaurus – An AI-powered app that automatically organizes spending from receipts, banks, and e-wallets to help users manage their finances smarter. The app has already made its first sale from the prototype built during WildHacks

WildHacks 2025 at VNUK concluded not only as a testament to VNUK’s efforts in fostering a hands-on learning environment and inspiring the young generation’s creativity, but also as a milestone in international collaboration and student development.
