Vibrant Journey of Education and Technology – UK Education Roadshow at VNUK

On October 17th, despite heavy rain, students were still excited to welcome the event “Vibrant Journey of Education and Technology – UK Education Roadshow.”

The iconic red double-decker bus arrived at VNUK

Traveling across the country, the red double-decker bus – a symbol of the UK – chose VNUK as its next stop to spread the mission of providing students with the most up-to-date information about the UK’s education system.

The event was organized by the British Embassy in Vietnam, the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Education (VNUK), the University of Danang, with the support of NashTech Vietnam, the British University Vietnam, and the Council of Universities in Wales.

    Special Guests of the Program

The special guests of the roadshow included:

What did the UK Education Roadshow bring to the audience?

The roadshow brought together education professionals from both the UK and Vietnam, along with valuable information about the UK’s education system and job opportunities in the UK. Additionally, with the guidance of MC Nguyễn Lâm Thảo Tâm – a popular figure and IELTS 8.5 achiever, the program provided a more relatable and multifaceted view of the life of international students in the “Land of Fog” through personal stories.

Ms. Nguyễn Thùy Linh, a former Chevening scholar, shared her journey of studying in the UK, her experience of applying for the Chevening Scholarship, and the professional skills that UK education can offer to students. Ms. Mai Thu Hà also provided further insights into the Chevening Scholarship criteria for young people who aspire to study abroad through the UK Government Scholarship program.

Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to join a small discussion panel with the guests to get detailed information about UK education.

Despite Da Nang experiencing record rainfall, we believe that every student who attended today’s event left with a warm “ray of sunshine.” This could have been the joy of meeting role models, gaining useful insights, encountering interesting people, or perhaps finding an opportunity to study and work in another country.

VNUK would like to express our sincere gratitude to our esteemed partners, universities, and all participants. We look forward to seeing you at VNUK’s upcoming educational events.
