Recently, representatives of the leadership of the VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), the University of Danang, had a working session with the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to discuss future directions for cooperation in education, research, and internationalization.
Over the years, VNUK has remained one of the strategic educational partners of the British Consulate General in Vietnam, particularly in promoting academic connections, advancing UK-standard education, and expanding international learning opportunities for students in Central Vietnam.
Through this partnership, many notable initiatives and activities have been implemented, including the UK Education Roadshow featuring leading universities from the United Kingdom, UK-standard training and professional certification programmes, as well as international academic and research projects.
Notably, VNUK is currently representing Vietnam in the international project “Driving Excellence in AI-Enabled Health Technology,” which brings together leading universities from both the United Kingdom and Vietnam. The project aims to foster innovation, interdisciplinary research, and the application of AI technologies in healthcare.
During the meeting, both sides discussed and explored several potential areas of future collaboration, including:
- Developing a UK Education Hub in Central Vietnam;
- Promoting Transnational Education (TNE);
- Enhancing quality assurance and academic governance capacity;
- Developing human resources and internationalization capacity;
- Collaborating on innovation, entrepreneurship, and future skills development.
The meeting further reaffirmed the commitment of both VNUK and the United Kingdom to strengthening sustainable educational cooperation, while expanding global learning, research, and development opportunities for the younger generation in Vietnam.
