Recently, the Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), in collaboration with the Da Nang Museum, organized the “BINKS Botanical Colors” workshop – a unique science and art experience designed for children aged 5 to 12.
At the workshop, young participants transformed into little “Junior scientists,” exploring the colorful world of nature in a fun, engaging, and highly creative way.
🌱 Throughout the workshop, the children had the chance to:
Explore how to extract natural dyes from leftover vegetables such as purple cabbage, beetroot, turmeric, and pandan leaves
Experiment with plant-based pH indicators and observe fascinating color-changing reactions
Mix their own natural paints and create artwork with themes like “Colors from Nature” and “My Green Earth”
Most importantly, gain a deeper understanding of recycling, environmental protection, and eco-friendly art through hands-on, engaging activities
This is a special event organized entirely by VNUK students, as part of BINKS — a startup project founded by a group of VNUK students aiming to inspire a love for science, artistic creativity, and environmental awareness in the community.
The workshop is not only an engaging and educational playground for children, but also an opportunity for VNUK students to demonstrate proactiveness, creativity, and social responsibility — gradually bringing meaningful ideas to life through practical and community-focused activities.
📸 Let’s take a look at the lovely pictures at this workshop!
