On July 30, 2025, the Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), a member of the University of Danang, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Vietnamese Intellectual Society in the UK and Ireland (VIS). This event marks a significant milestone in VNUK’s ongoing journey to expand its international collaboration network and bring global knowledge to serve the development of the local and regional community.
VIS is an organization that brings together Vietnamese intellectuals, experts, and scientists who are currently studying and working at leading universities, research institutes, and enterprises in the UK and Ireland. With a mission to connect the global Vietnamese intellectual community, VIS actively promotes collaborative initiatives aimed at contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam—particularly in the fields of science, education, and innovation.

According to the MoU, VNUK and VIS will establish a long-term partnership focusing on the following key areas:
Advancing academic excellence and innovation capacity at VNUK and in Da Nang City
Facilitating scholar, student, and researcher exchange programs
Enhancing faculty capacity and expanding international academic networks
Co-organizing conferences, implementing research projects, and promoting knowledge transfer
A highlight of this collaboration is the initiative to develop the DANANG – VIS LONDON Innovation Hub, which aims to serve as a bridge between Vietnamese experts in the UK and domestic educational and research institutions. This initiative is expected to become a platform for interdisciplinary academic, research, and applied activities that meet the practical development needs of Da Nang.
VNUK continues to pursue its vision of becoming a regional hub for international education in Central Vietnam – where knowledge, innovation, and community intersect. The partnership with VIS not only creates new opportunities for learning, research, and professional development for faculty, students, and researchers, but also affirms VNUK’s pioneering role in the strategy of international integration and sustainable development.
