This country is located off the coast of mainland Europe, including the British Isles, northeastern Ireland along with many other small islands.

Cooperation between two governments

VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education is an important achievement after the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of VNUK University was signed in January 2013 in London, witnessed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on his visit to the UK. Both VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education and VN-UK International University (phase 2) were born from the partnership between the University of Danang and Aston University (United Kingdom) with the support of the British Council. The core of VNUK is the UK – ASEAN Research Center invested by the British Council, Aston University and the University of Danang.

Living in Danang

When I first arrived in Da Nang, I was amazed but at the same time unfamiliar by what I experienced. But the teachers and students at VNUK in particular were very kind to assist carefully, as well as the residents of Da Nang in general were overly kind and welcoming. For me these are wonderful experiences and after returning home, I still remember the people and the worth-living beauty of Da Nang city.

“The birth of VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education marks an important stride in the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and the United Kingdom. The Institute will foster greater collaboration between the two countries in research and innovation, benefiting the economic development of Vietnam. The establishment of VNUK contributes greatly to the development of the Vietnam – UK Strategic Partnership.

By equipping ourselves with research skills as well as many partnerships with businesses, VNUK Institute of Research and Executive Education is promised to provide students and researchers with the best preparation for their next steps. Business relationships will assist students in creating and implementing research programs, offering internship opportunities for the beloved students.

I hope this accomplishment helps bring the plan to establish VN-UK International University in the future to life. Through working closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, we will continue our efforts to achieve that goal.”
