Student Transfer Program in International Business Management (IBM)

• 2+2 program: 2 years studying at VNUK, 2 years studying at Hull, earning university degrees from Hull and VNUK.
• 3+1 program: 3 years studying at VNUK, 1 year studying at Hull, earning university degrees from Hull and VNUK.
• If students fully meet the requirements of VNUK, they can also earn a degree from VNUK.
Requirements to participate in the program
• 2+2 program: complete 2 years of study at VNUK (with a minimum GPA of 2.5) and an IELTS score of 6.0 with the minimum band score of 5.5 for all skills. If students choose the 2+2 program, they will have the opportunity to participate in an internship program in the UK after completing 1 year of study at Hull.
• 3+1 program: complete 3 years of study at VNUK (with a minimum GPA of 2.5) and IELTS 6.0 with the minimum band score of 5.5 for all skills.
• Students enrolling in either of the above programs must have the approval from the Dean/Head of the Department.
Tuition fees for the academic year 2024
• Tuition for the business program is £15,400 per year. International students will receive an incentive of £2,000, and VNUK students also get an additional £1,000, leaving the remaining tuition fee of £14,400.

Student Transfer Program in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)

• 1+3 program: 1 year studying at VNUK and 3 years studying, earning a degree from Hull University and VNUK.

• Students can choose to study the following majors at Hull:
o Computer Science
o Computer Science Software Engineering
o Computer Science (with teacher training)
o Computer Science with Games Development
Requirements to participate in the program
• Students must complete 1 year of study at VNUK (minimum score of 55%) and IELTS score of 6.0 (no band less than 5.5). At the same time, students must have the consent of the Dean/Head of Department to participate in the transfer program.
• Tuition fees for 2024: £12,000 per year. International students get a £2,500 discount and VNUK students get an additional £1,000 incentive. Therefore, the remaining tuition fee is £11,000 per year (equivalent to 284 million VND per year).

• Students should check with VFS whether a TB test is required before submitting their visa application.
• Visa results: from 2 to 3 weeks from the date of submission of a complete visa application, excluding weekends and national holidays. The time for visa application results might be longer depending on the specific profile.

Part-time jobs for international students

Under UK Immigration and Visas regulations, international students are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week during the academic years and can work full time during holidays. Working rigorously is not advised as it could have negative effects on students’ learning performance.
Note:
1. Before going to study abroad, students are usually required to study at VNUK. Therefore, if students participate in the Student Exchange Program abroad, it will be difficult to join the transfer program.
2. In the student transfer program, there will be an affiliate fee to be paid to VNUK. This funding is usually paid directly to VNUK by partner universities, with the exception of Monash University (Australia). Therefore, before students go to study at Monash University, students will complete this payment once to VNUK with the total cost of $4,000 AUD (equivalent to 68,456,000 VND) (applied for 2021).

Deadline for nomination and registration/Required documents

• The nomination period for IBM students is from November to February next year. Hull University still accepts the late nominations in the effort to support students who wish to study there.
• The nomination deadline for CSE students is until April. Hull still accepts late nominations for this major until early August without affecting student admission.
• Students need to provide the coordinator of VNUK’s International Cooperation Department with the following basic information: full name, date of birth, email address and the transfer major.
• Upon receipt of a nomination from VNUK, Hull University will send the student an application form and the student must complete and submit it as soon as possible. After that, students will receive a conditional offer and start making accommodation reservations.
• Students must prepare copies of their passports, English certificates and transcripts to submit to Hull University. In case students do not meet the requirements of IELTS 6.0, students can register for a fundamental English course, which lasts from May to August.
