George Mason University is a public research university located in Northern Virginia, in the town of Fairfax, a suburban area of Washington, D.C. Students can easily access the city and enjoy its rich cultural and social offerings thanks to an extensive metro and bus system, as well as two major airports in the region.
Originally established as a branch of the University of Virginia, George Mason became an independent institution in 1972. Today, it is the largest public university in Virginia, with four campuses in the United States and one in South Korea.
The university receives more than USD 100 million annually in research funding, and its faculty members have earned numerous prestigious awards, including the Nobel Prize in Economics. Academic quality at the university is generally excellent, and tuition fees remain affordable.
Notably, 75% of students receive financial aid, and admission is relatively accessible, with approximately 87% of applicants being accepted.

Students of the 2+2 program of VNUK and George Mason University have the opportunity to receive Merit Scholarships or Global Idea Scholarships.
• Merit Scholarships are awarded to students with high academic achievement (GPA of 3.2/4.00 or higher).
• The scholarship is worth $10,000 per year and is granted for two years;
• Students who are not eligible for Merit Scholarships will be considered for the Global Idea Scholarship. This scholarship is worth $5000 per year and is granted for two years.
