VNUK’s International Business and Management training program is advised by top professors from Aston University in the United Kingdom, a key strategic partner of VNUK introduced and assigned to support VNUK by the British Government. Aston University is now listed in the top 500 of two global university rankings, QS Global World Ranking and Time Higher Education (THE) 2022. According to THE rankings, Aston University’s Economics and Business major is rated 133rd in the world, and Aston is among the top 1% of business schools in the world, with three accreditations – AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB.
Our training program is regularly reviewed once a year with direct comparison with the world’s leading business programs and with the enthusiastic participation of managers working at multinational corporations at home or abroad, innovative entrepreneurs, and local business owners. The training program specializing in International Business and Management is therefore both modern and continuously updated, meeting the strict requirements of the global labor market. In particular, the quality of the International Business and Management program is guaranteed at the international level when receiving the commitment of 2+2, 3+1 transfer cooperation by prestigious universities in the world and accredited by international professional associations such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), and the AWS Academy (Amazon Web Service Academy).
At VNUK, in addition to highly-quality training programs advised by the higher education system in the UK, we also aim to enrich our student experience through many extra-curricular activities, internship programs throughout 4 years of study, exchange opportunities, and support services for students.
The program is designed to not only provide students with substantial knowledge, but also prepare students with professional skills, such as working in a multicultural environment, planning for personal development, time management and business communication skills. In addition, practical competency is also a critical factor that helps students develop necessary skills before entering the challenging world of business. These skills are accumulated through integrated projects in most modules, in business connections as well as extra-curricular activities. The Faculty of Economics and Business also organizes many skills-fostering activities for students such as entrepreneurship programs (Design Thinking challenge), the Future Leadership Programs, etc.
The intimate relationship between VNUK and organizations or businesses gives students professional prospects following graduation. The curriculum emphasizes practical business knowledge, the development of managerial abilities in an international setting through hands-on activities, and learning by experience. Students will participate in simulation programs, case studies, project-based learning, and other activities that will immerse them in real-world contexts throughout the program. Field trips to businesses will help students grasp theoretical lectures more effectively. VNUK also hosts regular talk shows with businessmen and managers from large or foreign firms operating in Vietnam, offering students with a variety of perspectives.
VNUK, in particular, focuses on providing students with as much job experience as possible from the start of their education. Instead of a periodic internship in the final semester, students majoring in International Business and Management are encouraged to participate in internship programs over the course of four years, through a variety of short-term, long-term, part-time, and full-time internship opportunities.
