How to Become a CV Master | Crafting Compelling CVs Workshop | 06.03.2024

CV stands for Curriculum Vitae – an essential tool that allows job seekers to present their skills, experiences, and achievements. A well-prepared CV not only helps candidates stand out among thousands of applications but also increases their chances of being invited for an interview and landing their dream job, while showcasing professionalism and suitability for the position to potential employers.

To support students in crafting an impressive CV, on the afternoon of March 6, 2024, VNUK Career Service organized a workshop with the theme 3C’s: “Crafting Compelling CVs”, attended by a large number of VNUK students and led by Ms. Pham Thi Minh Thuy, MSc. The workshop concluded successfully, showering participants with a wealth of knowledge and many “must-have” tips on CV writing and interview skills.

Speaker: Ms. Pham Thi Minh Thuy, MSc

VNUK Career Service would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Pham Thi Minh Thuy – Lecturer at the Faculty of International Business Management, Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Danang – for devoting her valuable time to deliver practical, heartfelt insights, helping VNUK-ers “power up” with many impactful takeaways.

The workshop not only helped students gain an in-depth understanding of the before–during–after process of preparing a complete CV but also equipped them with practical details, such as how to use words to make their CV “polished and professional,” how to highlight key information effectively, and which skills to add to match their experience — ensuring they can capture a recruiter’s attention within just 10 seconds.

Another highlight of the workshop was the live CV review session, where students received personalized feedback from an expert’s perspective. This hands-on guidance helped VNUK-ers “make over” their CVs to be as professional and refined as possible.
