“Ms. Huong is my favorite teacher. Her eyes are sparkling, her face is beautiful, her lips are beautiful, and she is always beautiful. She is very gentle, and her fair hands are very graceful. I love her very much. I wish her good health and a safe journey home. I do not have anything to give, only this letter. I hope she will understand.”
These heartfelt words stand as a beautiful testament to the bonds, affection, and humanitarian values that the campaign has brought about.
From July 19 to July 31, 2025, the volunteer team of the Youth Union of the University of Danang—led by members of the Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Danang, together with the Youth Union of the University of Danang – Kontum Campus, carried out the 2025 Summer Volunteer Student Campaign in Kon Ron Hamlet, Ngok Reo Commune, Quang Ngai Province.

A Meaningful Annual Initiative
Green Summer is an annual program that fosters the pioneering and volunteer spirit of youth. It also provides a valuable environment for union members and students to cultivate resilience, spread the spirit of sharing, and strengthen their sense of social responsibility.
Each campaign not only contributes tangible projects to the community but also leaves behind invaluable experiences for young volunteers.

Practical Projects for the Community
At the Ngok Reo site, Green Summer 2025 implemented a variety of initiatives directly benefiting local residents:
- Infrastructure and recreation for children: installation of solar-powered streetlights; construction of a children’s playground.
- Community welfare: distribution of gifts to disadvantaged households; scholarships for underprivileged but hardworking students; organization of a “Gratitude Meal” for families who rendered services to the revolution.
- Education and culture: summer classes in Vietnamese, Mathematics, English, and life skills; cultural and sports exchanges; dissemination of information on traffic safety, family and marriage law, and drug prevention.
- Environmental protection and landscape improvement: planting flowers; cleaning the memorial site for fallen soldiers; repairing volleyball courts; digging waste pits; cleaning classrooms; restoring flower beds at local schools.
The newly lit roads, playgrounds filled with children’s laughter, scholarships supporting disadvantaged students, and heartfelt summer classes have all become vivid proof of the spirit of sharing and dedication of today’s youth.

Gratitude and Aspirations
The success of the campaign is measured not only by the completed projects but also by the solidarity, sense of responsibility, and enthusiasm of the volunteers.
