Tran Thanh Thao – Merit Scholarship in International Business and Management
Continuing the series of “flexing” our outstanding new faces, let’s meet Tran Thanh Thao, an alumna of Phan Chau Trinh High School. She is the next recipient of the Merit Scholarship in the International Business and Management program at VNUK.
Here are some of her highlighted activities:
Active volunteer in community and social projects organized by the Da Nang Red Cross (2022)
Participant at AEC Summer Camp 2022
Participant at 3Rs STAYCATION Camp – Academy 2022
“Success is a journey, not a destination.”
“Adaptable, sociable, and open-minded are probably the best words to describe myself,” shared Thanh Thao. She believes these qualities help her easily connect with people, discover new things, and embrace fresh experiences.
Her favorite quote is: “Success is a journey, not a destination.”
She explains: “I think success is the result of constant effort, not something predetermined from birth. To be successful, one must work hard every single day.” That mindset drives her to keep pushing forward to achieve her goals.
When asked about her proudest achievement, Thao mentioned being admitted to Phan Chau Trinh High School – a prestigious institution. She recalled how it was the result of relentless practice and preparation for exams. More recently, she proudly added another milestone: becoming a VNUK-er and winning the prestigious Merit Scholarship.
VNUK – A dynamic, open-minded environment for young people to explore themselves
When applying to VNUK, Thao was most impressed by the faculty and staff at the Institute. “Everyone was so open-minded and friendly. They made me feel comfortable and confident during my interview.”
Winning the scholarship was a big joy for her: “I know I am not perfect and still have much to improve, so this scholarship will be a strong motivation for me to keep striving toward new goals.”
Another highlight that fascinated her was VNUK’s wide range of extracurricular activities. Thao believes these opportunities will allow her to explore herself further, become more confident, expand her network, and sharpen her adaptability.
“I chose International Business and Management because it helps me gain deeper insights into management and business in a multicultural environment. This major also matches my adaptable and open personality, while opening up many promising career paths.”
Looking ahead, Thao wishes to challenge herself, join exchange and transfer programs, and broaden her knowledge, vision, and skills for future development.
Let’s wish this energetic and proactive young woman many more achievements and wonderful experiences at VNUK over the next four years!
