CV – Curriculum Vitae is a summary of information about an applicant’s educational background, work experience, and job-related skills. A CV plays a crucial role in helping recruiters evaluate and screen candidates, often serving as the primary basis to eliminate unsuitable applicants before the interview stage. Therefore, CV writing skills are considered the first step to impressing potential employers.

Understanding this importance, on October 15, 2024, VNUK Career Service organized a CV writing workshop, attracting a large number of new VNUK freshmen—young faces who are still “inexperienced” in their career journeys but eager to learn and open to improvement.

At the workshop, the new students listened to insightful presentations on the importance of an impressive CV by Ms. Trần Thị Phương Mẫn and Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Phương, who are in charge of the Employment Services & Corporate Relations Team. They provided detailed guidance on the basic sections of a CV, from personal information to highlighting key skills and experiences, helping students understand the process and complete their CVs in the most polished way.

VNUK Career Service is very pleased with the students’ eagerness to learn and their readiness to start from the very basics to support their future real-world work environment. The students asked many interesting questions and received valuable advice from Career Service, as well as insights shared through the experiences of students participating in the program.

We hope that the “CV Writing Skills Workshop” organized by Career Service will give students a deeper understanding of how to write a CV. At the same time, we encourage students to continuously improve and elevate their CVs in the future, so they can catch the attention of employers right from the very first time.
