Recently, the VN-UK Institute for Research and Training (VNUK), The University of Danang, was pleased to host the VNUK x SUSS Cultural Exchange Program 2025, held over two days on 16–17 December 2025. The program provided a dynamic, multicultural learning and networking environment, offering students from Vietnam and Singapore meaningful opportunities to connect, learn, and exchange through academic activities and hands-on experiences.

A Multinational Academic Exchange Environment
As part of this year’s program, VNUK warmly welcomed 37 students and 02 faculty members from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). Accompanying the delegation were 12 VNUK student Ambassadors, who played a vital role as “cultural bridges,” helping to break down language and cultural barriers and enabling international students to gain deeper insights into the people, lifestyle, and development of Da Nang City and Vietnam.
With the support of the Ambassadors, exchange activities were conducted in an open and engaging manner, fostering a dynamic and internationally oriented learning environment.

Program Highlights and Key Academic Themes
The program was thoughtfully designed around academic and interactive activities, including:
- In-depth sharing sessions by guest speakers, offering academic perspectives closely connected to real-world practice;
- Learning, discussion, and networking sessions both inside and outside the classroom, where students from both countries collaborated in groups and exchanged ideas;
- A final presentation session, during which student groups presented their work and received direct feedback from lecturers and speakers.
The three key academic themes of this year’s program were:
- Sustainable Tourism;
- Traditional Art and Craft;
- High Quality of Life.

Valuable Insights from Guest Speakers
In addition to student-focused activities, the program was marked by two insightful expert presentations:
Mr. Vo Duy Hoa – Representative from Investment Promotion Center Danang City, with the topic “Da Nang City Development Planning: Green Development, Economic Development, Sustainable Tourism,” provided an overview of Da Nang’s strategic orientation toward green growth, economic development, and sustainable tourism.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Chuong – Co-Founder GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center, with the topic “Sustainability, Green Development,” focused on contemporary issues related to sustainable and green development.

These sessions not only delivered in-depth knowledge but also helped students better understand the connections between theory, policy, and local development practices in the context of globalization.
Expanding Global Mindsets and International Connections
More than a cultural exchange, VNUK x SUSS 2025 served as a valuable platform for students to develop a global mindset, enhance cross-cultural working skills, and build long-lasting international connections—essential assets for their academic journeys and future careers.

VNUK sincerely thanks the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), the guest speakers, and all participating students for joining us in creating a meaningful and memorable exchange program. We look forward to welcoming future international collaboration and exchange initiatives at VNUK.
