The VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK) recently had the honor of welcoming Christian Hirt, Deputy Head of the Human Resource Management Department and International Relations Coordinator at the School of Economics, Business and Social Sciences of the University of Graz (Austria). The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to discuss potential academic collaborations and expand international learning opportunities for students.

Strengthening International Academic Connections
During his visit, Professor Christian Hirt held a working session and in-depth discussions with the leadership of Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK) on initiatives related to academic cooperation in education, research, and scholarly exchange.

The discussions focused on strengthening international partnerships, expanding academic networks, and enhancing global learning experiences for VNUK students.

Guest Lecture on Intercultural Sensitivity
A highlight of the visit was the Guest Lecture titled “Developing Intercultural Sensitivity: Learning from Cultural Standards.”
During the session, Professor Christian Hirt shared both academic perspectives and practical insights on:
- Cultural differences in international environments
- The concept of cultural standards in intercultural research
- The importance of intercultural communication skills in global academic and professional settings

The lecture provided VNUK students with valuable insights into how individuals can effectively adapt and collaborate in multicultural environments.
Expanding the International Learning Environment at VNUK
Professor Christian Hirt’s visit not only offered students the opportunity to learn directly from an international expert but also reaffirmed VNUK’s commitment to strengthening global academic connections and building an international-standard learning environment in Vietnam.

Through academic exchanges, guest lectures, and research collaborations, VNUK continues to expand its global partner network, enabling students to access international knowledge and perspectives throughout their studies.
