VNUK continues to accompany Da Nang’s innovation ecosystem
On the afternoon of May 15, at the press conference announcing the Da Nang Venture and Angel Summit 2026 (DAVAS 2026), the VN-UK Institute For Research and Executive Education – University of Danang (VNUK) continued its participation as an accompanying partner, joining efforts to promote the city’s innovation and startup ecosystem.
The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran The Vu – Vice Director of VNUK, along with representatives from departments, agencies, investment funds, enterprises, startups, and innovation support organizations from Vietnam and abroad.
DAVAS 2026 – Connecting Global Investment and Knowledge
DAVAS 2026 will take place from May 25–27 under the theme “Where Capital Meets Vision”, aiming to connect global investment capital, technology, and knowledge resources, contributing to positioning Da Nang as a leading destination for innovation and technology investment in the region.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s event is expected to bring together more than 30 international investment funds with a total asset management scale of approximately 5 billion USD, over 70 promising startups, along with a wide range of activities including investment networking sessions, technology exhibitions, thematic conferences, and live pitching sessions.
In addition to investment activities, DAVAS 2026 also creates a platform connecting universities, enterprises, investors, and the startup community to promote innovation, technology transfer, and the development of high-quality human resources.
VNUK promotes innovation closely linked to practice
As a public university-level institution with an international orientation under University of Danang, VNUK consistently focuses on building a practice-oriented learning environment, promoting innovation, applied research, and entrepreneurial spirit among students.
Through its continued participation in DAVAS 2026, VNUK aims to contribute to connecting the academic community, enterprises, investors, and innovation organizations, while strengthening international cooperation, applied research, and knowledge transfer aligned with the city’s development needs.
In recent years, VNUK has also oriented its development toward interdisciplinary learning and research models, promoting co-creation spaces such as Living Lab and Co-Lab, as well as research-to-market activities under the “Lab-to-Market” approach, bringing innovative ideas closer to society and businesses.
Joining hands to build Da Nang as a regional innovation hub
VNUK believes that when education, technology, people, and capital are effectively connected, Da Nang will continue to strengthen its position as a regional hub for innovation, startups, and technology investment in the coming period.
