On July 23, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission had a working session with the University of Danang to implement the Party’s directives in the fields of science, technology, environment, and intellectual affairs.
The session was attended by Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat – Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Central Commission, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – President of the University of Danang.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh emphasized Da Nang’s efforts to attract top-tier experts through housing policies and human resources support, particularly in fields like AI and semiconductors. From 2021 to 2025, the city has supported 66 individuals, invested in shared labs and research centers, and promoted applied research connections.

Deputy Head Huynh Thanh Dat highly appreciated the efforts of both the city and the university in realizing the Party’s resolutions on science and technology development. He stressed that university lecturers and researchers are a strategic pillar for sustainable national growth in the new era.

The University of Danang currently operates over 230 laboratories and 6 multifunctional buildings, supporting interdisciplinary training and research. In 2024 alone, it published 1,715 scientific works, including 577 in prestigious international journals, and managed 242 research projects with a total funding of nearly 40 billion VND.
The university aims to become a national university, proactively participating in the development of the digital, green, and circular economy. It is also focusing on commercialization of research, expanding international partnerships, and modern university governance models.
A group of students from the Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK, University of Danang) introduced an eco-friendly scalp protective film at the STARTUP Student Festival 2024.

To realize these ambitions, the Commission recommended continued localization of Party resolutions into actionable programs and supported the proposal to establish a science park to attract experts and researchers.
With strong foundations, open mechanisms, and strategic vision, the University of Danang is expected to become a leading hub of knowledge and innovation in Central and Central Highlands Vietnam, making significant contributions to national development.
