Recently, Nguyễn Ngọc Quỳnh Anh, a young woman raised in the United States, successfully convinced the VNUK Admissions Committee and became the next recipient of the Talent Scholarship for the International Business and Management program, class of 2023-2027.

Known for her impressive academic record, Quỳnh Anh has also amassed a number of achievements worthy of “flexing”:

    • IELTS 8.5

    • Nominated for the “Outstanding Award” at the Future Health Leaders Conference

    • Dean’s List of Fall 2020 at Ohio University Chillicothe

Her favorite life motto is: “Everyone has their own ‘time zone,’ and each person’s individual experiences will shape their own wonderful journey. Returning to Vietnam for the First Time – Seeking Connection with Her Cultural Roots

After spending most of her time growing up abroad, Quỳnh Anh decided to return to Vietnam with the goal of reconnecting with her origins. “I went to the U.S. with my parents when I was about 6 or 7 and stayed there until I was 17. Except for a short visit during the pandemic, this is the first time I’m officially coming back to Vietnam,” Quỳnh Anh shared.

She first heard about VNUK during high school when her parents introduced her to the university’s joint degree program between Vietnam and the UK. After some time researching, Quỳnh Anh made the decision to return to Vietnam to continue her studies and experience the traditions of her homeland.

“Falling in Love” with VNUK – Seeking Connection with Fellow Countrymen

When asked about what she is looking forward to the most in her journey at VNUK, Quỳnh Anh didn’t hesitate to share, “Since my family and I immigrated at an early age, this time, I hope to connect with everyone and bond with my peers.”

Aside from the captivating campus design and impressive faculty profile, Quỳnh Anh revealed that it was the friendliness and openness of the VNUK community that made her immediately decide to choose this university as her second home. She happily shared stories from senior students and is extremely excited about the future journey ahead.

Quỳnh Anh also took the opportunity to send a special message to her future friends: “I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you. My Vietnamese is still not very good, so I hope everyone can help me out.”

Choosing IBM – Seeking Connection with Future Opportunities

“VNUK offers me many options in terms of academic programs and career paths. However, I chose the IBM major because of its flexibility. I believe this field will open doors to a variety of career opportunities, both at home and abroad,” Quỳnh Anh shared.

Without having to give up the opportunity to earn international degrees, the exchange and transfer programs at VNUK reassured Quỳnh Anh about her future path. She is also very impressed and loves the idea of experiencing diverse cultures worldwide while still being able to enjoy life in Vietnam

Quỳnh Anh is also particularly interested in job opportunities and internships that VNUK offers to its students. At the Corporate Relations and Career Services office, VNUKers are given the chance to connect with “inspired and capable” partner businesses and to gain internship experiences right from their first year.

“Since I’m not participating in the English Preparatory course, this period allows me to absorb practical knowledge and valuable work opportunities to develop in my career path,” Quỳnh Anh added.

Merit Scholarship – A Promising Future!

Not overly confident about her achievements, Quỳnh Anh felt a sense of nervousness and uncertainty when she participated in the scholarship interview with the VNUK admission committee. “There were many moments when I wasn’t sure about my decision. However, receiving the full Merit Scholarship from the professors gave me a lot of trust and motivation. This has reassured me in my decision to choose this university and the future ahead.”

With excellent academic achievements, coupled with a strong will, proactive thinking, and a determination to pursue the International Business and Management program, Nguyễn Ngọc Quỳnh Anh has proven that she truly deserves to be the recipient of the Merit Scholarship at VNUK. Thanks to her strong language skills and her passion to pursue a career in international business, Quỳnh Anh is surely a promising individual who will bring significant value to the community in the future.

Once again, VNUK extends its congratulations to Nguyễn Ngọc Quỳnh Anh! We wish you a memorable student life and success in achieving your goals at VNUK!
