Kick-off Ceremony of the 2025 Summer Volunteer Campaign – VN–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK)

On the morning of July 20, 2025, Hall C at Campus 1 of the University of Danang – Kon Tum Campus (in Quang Ngai) was filled with excitement during the Launching Ceremony of the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. This meaningful event marked the start of a new journey, as VNUK student volunteers prepared to bring youthful energy and knowledge to communities in need.

    Representatives in attendance:

From UD – Kon Tum Campus:

    • Ms. Do Hoang Hai, Secretary of the Youth Union
    • Ms. Truong Thi Hong Nhung, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union
    • Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Quyen, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union

From the Youth Union of the University of Danang:

    • Mr. Thai Quang Son, Secretary
    • Mr. Ngo Nguyen Nhat Hung, Deputy Secretary
    • Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Standing Committee Member, Secretary of VNUK Youth Union
    • Along with enthusiastic student volunteers from VNUK

With the spirit of “Wherever needed, youth are present; wherever difficult, youth take action,” this year’s campaign is based in Ngok Reo Commune, Dak Ha District, Kon Tum Province (recently renamed Ngok Reo Commune, Quang Ngai Province). Volunteers will undertake a series of impactful projects aimed at improving local lives, including:

    • Building a digital community: Launching a “Digital Literacy for All” initiative to help local residents access technology, spread legal awareness, and offer free digital citizenship skills classes for students and locals.

    • Improving living spaces: Renovating a volleyball court, cleaning memorial sites, and building safe and joyful playgrounds for children.

    • Empowering education: Organizing summer review classes and fun summer activities for children.

    • Cultural exchange and connection: Hosting warm-hearted cultural and artistic exchange events with locals, and conducting a “Gratitude Candle Lighting” ceremony at the provincial martyrs’ cemetery.

The launch moment marks not just the beginning of a journey, but a powerful declaration from VNUK’s youth: a commitment to bring knowledge, compassion, and meaningful actions to all corners of the country. Together, they will write stories of volunteerism and spread deep human values across the community.
