1. Advisory Functions:
– Develop and propose the issuance of regulations, rules, and plans related to training, admissions, curricula, and joint training programs.
– Advise on admissions quotas, academic year plans, establishment of councils (thesis, graduation defense, graduation review).
– Propose graduation recognition, opening of new majors/programs, and development of local and international programs.
2. Supporting Functions:
– Implement procedures to support the Director in admissions, training, opening new majors, and quota allocation.
– Monitor and supervise training and academic management activities.
– Manage and appraise joint training programs with foreign partners.
– Manage student information throughout the study process.
3. Management Functions:
– Oversee all training activities, teaching, and learning schedules.
– Organize course registration, academic review, and graduation review.
– Manage study results, credit transfers, transcripts, diplomas, and certificates.
– Handle academic records, verify diplomas.
– Organize general education modules (National Defense & Security Education, Physical Education, Political Theory, General Law) and supplementary activities to meet graduation requirements.
4. Coordination Functions:
– Coordinate with other units in areas of faculty management, tuition fees, finance, admissions communication, student affairs, and international cooperation.
– Manage students in exchange, transfer, and joint international programs, as well as internships, reports, and theses.
– Organize enrollment, orientation week, extracurricular, and student engagement activities.
5. Testing and Examination Functions:
– Develop regulations and guidelines on testing and examinations; manage test banks, exam papers, and answer scripts.
– Organize final examinations, grading, and re-marking.
– Secure and archive exam materials; resolve complaints related to exam results.
6. Quality Assurance Functions:
– Develop short-term, medium-term, and long-term quality assurance plans.
– Lead self-assessment, surveys, and evaluation tool development.
– Conduct stakeholder surveys and follow up on quality improvement.
– Support units in implementing quality assurance; promote a culture of quality.
– Recommend improvements based on internal and external assessments.
7. Capacity-Building Functions:
– Advise on strategies and policies for capacity-building in quality assurance, accreditation, and testing.
– Lead and coordinate training programs, workshops, and seminars.
– Compile and publish materials supporting testing and quality assurance activities.
8. Other Duties:
– Submit reports, maintain evidence, and manage training and quality assurance records.
– Carry out other tasks assigned by the Institute’s leadership.
