VNUK-ERS Brings “BINKS Plant-Based Paints” to the Da Nang Museum

Recently, the Vienam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), in collaboration with the Da Nang Museum, organized the “BINKS Plant-Based Paints” workshop – a unique science-and-art experience designed for children aged 5 to 12. At the workshop, the young participants transformed into “little scientists,” exploring the world of natural colors in a fun, engaging, and highly creative way.

Throughout the workshop :

The children discovered how to extract natural pigments from discarded vegetables such as purple cabbage, beetroot, turmeric, and pandan leaves.

They experimented with plant-based pH indicators and observed fascinating color-changing reactions.

They also mixed their own colors and painted artworks under the themes “Colors from Nature” and “My Green Earth.”

Through these hands-on activities, the children gained a deeper understanding of recycling, environmental protection, and green art.

A special highlight of the event was that it was entirely run by VNUK students as part of BINKS – a student-led startup project founded by VNUK students with the mission of spreading a love for science, artistic creativity, and environmental awareness within the community.

The workshop was not only an enriching learning playground for children but also a meaningful opportunity for VNUK students to showcase their initiative, creativity, and sense of social responsibility. It served as a step toward bringing meaningful student ideas to life through practical and community-centered activities.

Let’s take a look back at the adorable moments from this workshop!
