Field Trip to Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa of Hospitality Management and International Business Students, VNUK
Recently, students from two Event Management classes under the Hospitality Management and International Business program of the Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Danang, had an enriching field trip to Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa – one of the top-tier 5-star resorts in Danang City.
Exploring a Global Brand – Marriott International
During the visit, students were warmly welcomed by the management team of Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa, who shared an overview of Marriott International – one of the world’s largest hotel corporations – and the Sheraton Grand brand, renowned for its refined service style and international standards.
In addition to learning about the resort’s scale and daily operations, students had the opportunity to visit the convention center, lobby area, The Grill restaurant, and premium guest rooms – all showcasing the strict standards of service quality and customer experience within the Hospitality & Event Management industry.
Learning from Real-World Experiences – Developing Passion and Customer-Centric Values
One of the most memorable moments of the trip was the heartfelt message shared by the manager of The Grill restaurant:
“Whatever department or position you work in within the hotel or restaurant, always love what you do.”
Though simple, the message held deep meaning, leaving a strong impression on the students. It emphasized passion, responsibility, and dedication – the core values that lead to success in the service and events industry.
