However, modern education trends are now creating more diverse academic pathways for these students—especially in applied sciences and biotechnology. While Group B may not offer as many subject combinations as Groups A or D, it is gaining appeal due to its practical and high-demand disciplines.

Among the most established programs at VNUK for Group B students is Biomedical Science. VNUK was the first university in Vietnam to offer an undergraduate program in Biomedical Science, starting in 2016. In 2025, VNUK will officially launch a new specialization: Biomedical Biotechnology (under the Biotechnology major), marking a bold step to further support Group B candidates. This pioneering program combines biology, medicine, and technology to train high-quality human resources for healthcare and pharmaceutical applications.

The program covers fundamental knowledge in microbiological biotechnology, bioinformatics, and modern biomedical technologies. It follows an international education model that integrates theory with hands-on practice and aligns with global technological trends.

Graduates of the Biomedical Biotechnology program can pursue careers in life science research institutes, diagnostic labs, and hospitals (as technicians or researchers), biotech and pharmaceutical companies, or global corporations in biomedical fields. Equipped with solid knowledge and skills, students can even start their own biotech ventures, taking advantage of the field’s growing innovation potential.
