On the morning of July 22, the VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Danang (UD), solemnly held the 2023 Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony. Attending this meaningful event, VNUK faculty and students were honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Vũ – Member of the Party Committee and Director of UD, who delivered a keynote speech.
The ceremony was attended by leaders from the University of Danang and its affiliated schools and partners, along with esteemed parents and the new graduates.
Also present were Mr. Đinh Ngọc Lam Điền, Vice President of the Vietnam Student Association in Da Nang; representatives from the University Office, relevant departments, high schools, businesses, partner organizations, as well as all VNUK faculty, staff, parents, and the new graduates receiving their diplomas.

According to Dr. Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Hương, Dean of VNUK, this graduation ceremony honors 56 new Bachelor’s degree recipients across the Institute’s programs: International Business and Management, Computer Science and Engineering, and Biomedical Science.
In addition to completing the required academic coursework, VNUK’s new graduates have actively pursued opportunities to gain hands-on experience and enhance practical skills through internships and company placements (starting from the early years of study), while also developing foreign language proficiency, IT skills, and soft skills.

Many VNUK students have participated in international student exchange programs, helping the new graduates gain confidence, resilience, and the full set of skills needed to quickly adapt and integrate into both domestic and global labor markets, representatives of VNUK leadership noted.
In his congratulatory remarks, sharing the joy with the new graduates, their families, and VNUK faculty and staff, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Vũ emphasized: “This is not only an important event for VNUK but also a joyous occasion for the parents and the new graduates… who have successfully completed a challenging yet memorable journey of study—the most beautiful years of youth on the university campus.”

VNUK students are exposed to advanced-level education in a dynamic, creative, friendly, and inspiring learning environment with a distinctive style, placing strong emphasis on practical skills, modern thinking, and excellent English proficiency—“a solid foundation for them to become future global citizens.”
Many VNUK alumni (from the first graduating class in 2020) have had the honor of continuing their studies at prestigious universities worldwide, “demonstrating their capabilities and securing strong positions within organizations and enterprises both domestically and internationally.”

Da Nang University Director Nguyễn Ngọc Vũ encouraged and hoped that the VNUK graduates would remain confident in the knowledge they have acquired, step into life with self-assurance, and strive to realize their dreams and ambitions. He emphasized the importance of “having the resilience to rise after every setback, and living responsibly toward oneself, one’s family, and society,” echoing the words of Jack Ma, CEO of the renowned Alibaba Group: “Life is not easy, nothing comes for free,” as graduates embark on a new journey toward establishing their careers.
Acknowledging and commending VNUK’s efforts, supported by the member universities and affiliated units of Da Nang University in the noble mission of “educating the future generation,” the Director sincerely thanked the business community and partners who have accompanied VNUK and expressed the hope for their continued valuable support and collaboration in the future.

Entering a new development phase of the country, and in response to the urgent need for high-quality human resources for the nation’s industrialization and modernization, the Resolution No. 26/NQ-TW of the Party Central Committee has affirmed the policy of “Developing Da Nang University into a National University.” The Director of Da Nang University expressed the hope and requested that the staff, faculty, and students of VNUK continue to build on the achievements already made, uphold the spirit of innovation with strong determination to overcome difficulties and challenges, and strive to develop VNUK into the Vietnam-UK University under Da Nang University, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of Da Nang University’s strategic development goals in this new era.

The Director of Da Nang University urged the leadership of the Institute and the faculty and staff of VNUK to “leverage collective strength, unite, and make greater and more creative efforts” in modernizing university governance toward a professional and contemporary approach; to innovate curricula, content, and teaching methods; to enhance practical training and internships with enterprises to improve students’ practical knowledge and soft skills; and to focus on developing the faculty, visiting lecturers, and collaborators—particularly attracting skilled experts and experienced lecturers from member universities of Da Nang University as well as international partner universities—to continuously improve the quality of education and research, thereby “truly becoming a trusted destination for training high-quality human resources in the context of international integration.”

On this occasion, VNUK honored and awarded 3 exemplary new graduates, who were the top graduates of their respective majors, graduated with distinction, and had the honor of receiving scholarships from the Institute and international partners during their studies.
Representing the business partners of VNUK, Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Anh—the co-founder and CEO of Alpha Asimov Robotics—engaged with the graduates, sharing valuable experiences to guide them and current students toward solid success in the future.
