On the morning of December 4, 2025, the atmosphere at the University of Danang Convention Hall became more vibrant than ever as the 2025 Sexual Health – Reproductive Health Awareness Program took place. The event was co-organized by the Youth Union of the VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), Vietnam Health Magazine, and DKT Vietnam, attracting the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of students.

Fostering a Holistic Educational Environment

Aligned with VNUK’s mission of cultivating well-rounded individuals, the institute not only focuses on academic excellence but also emphasizes equipping students with essential life skills and social knowledge. Acknowledging the pressing issues of early sexual activity and limited reproductive health awareness, the Institute’s leadership and VNUK Youth Union developed this program to create an open, scientific, and respectful space for dialogue.

The event was honored to welcome Mr. Thái Quang Sơn – Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Danang; and MSc., Journalist Chúc Kim Vinh – Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Health Magazine. Representing the host institution VNUK were Dr. Trần Thế Vũ – Vice Director; Ms. Nguyễn Lê Vy – Deputy Head in charge of Student Affairs, Corporate Relations & Communications; and Mr. Nguyễn Văn Hiếu – Secretary of the VNUK Youth Union.

When Scientific Knowledge Becomes Approachable
Throughout the program, the central message remained clear: encouraging young people to proactively protect themselves for the sake of their own wellbeing and the community. Instead of heavy theoretical lectures, MSc., Specialist Level I Doctor Lê Đình Duy from Danang Hospital for Women and Children guided students through sensitive topics with humor, clarity, and a thoughtful approach.

From basic psychophysiological knowledge and modern contraceptive methods to challenging issues such as HIV/AIDS prevention and the consequences of unsafe abortion, every topic was thoroughly unpacked. The Q&A session helped eliminate initial hesitation, empowering students to openly express their concerns and receive accurate, practical advice from experts.

A highlight of the event was the distribution of free sexual safety products to students aged 18 and above—a practical initiative encouraging the shift from “awareness” to safe and responsible “behavior.”

VNUK Youth and a Commitment to Ongoing Support
Beyond academic discussions, the program also provided a space for VNUK students to showcase their talents and dynamism. Performances by the VNUK 611 Music Club and students’ enthusiastic participation in interactive activities helped “soften” scientific information, making the session more engaging and accessible.

The program concluded successfully, marking strong collaboration between VNUK and reputable organizations in the field of community health. It established a solid foundation for future meaningful extracurricular activities—supporting VNUK’s mission to nurture a generation of students who are not only academically capable but also confident and well-equipped with essential life skills.
