The VN–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, UD Connects Students with the Global Culture Day 2025

At the end of June 2025, the Vietnam – UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Danang (UDN), organized a series of activities to strengthen connections and create opportunities for students and pupils in the city to participate in and experience the Global Culture Showcase 2025.

    Global Culture Showcase 2025
Attracting a large number of students and pupils

According to Dr. Trần Thế Vũ – Vice Director of VNUK, this was not only an open cultural festival for students and pupils, but also a program entirely created and designed by VNUK students themselves, showcasing their spirit of global integration.

The program aimed to raise awareness and foster a mindset toward becoming global citizens, especially in the context of UDN and its member units actively responding to Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new era and Conclusion No. 91-KL/TW, which gradually promotes English as a second language in schools.

A unique highlight of the program was the real-life project proposed, planned, resourced, and organized by VNUK students. The project featured a series of cultural festival activities (Global Culture Festival/Showcase) to meet the integration needs of the city’s young community, with students and pupils playing the leading role.

A variety of vibrant, multicultural activities

The event offered diverse and creative activities with multiple forms of expression, allowing participants to experience distinctive cultural features from the East to the West. Highlights included: traditional costume and dance performances (“Song diện Yến Tuân” – China, Bollywood dance – India, traditional dance – Turkey, Role Play fashion show – Egypt, musical theatre performance – France, and the vibrant Samba dance of Brazil).

Booths as bridges of international friendship

A VNUK student representative excitedly shared that through the Global Culture Showcase 2025, young people could explore cultural bridges to broaden their horizons, encouraging them to improve their language skills and integration capabilities.

Students eager to experience culture from East to West

These experiences will serve as valuable preparation for VNUK students, as well as other local students and pupils, nurturing their aspirations for academic development and cultural exchange in an international environment with abundant opportunities. The event series also offered a chance for students to better understand the multicultural, well-equipped, and friendly learning environment at VNUK.

A well-equipped, friendly, international learning environment at VNUK
