On the morning of July 28, 2023, theVN-UK Institute For Research and Executive Education (VNUK), in collaboration with the Education Quality Assurance Board – University of Danang, successfully held the training session “Developing and Operating Internal Quality Assurance Systems at Universities.” The workshop was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet, Head of the Education Quality Assurance Board, University of Danang, and attended by more than 50 staff members, lecturers, and specialists from the Institute.

This training session helped VNUK staff and faculty acquire fundamental knowledge on developing and operating an internal quality assurance (IQA) system, as well as provided practical models to assist the university in refining its system and preparing thoroughly for self-assessment and external evaluation.
Contents of the Training Workshop:

Introduction to the internal quality assurance system according to domestic and international models (AUN-QA)
Overview guidance on building the system structure; processes and procedures; personnel involved in quality assurance activities
Overview guidance on developing tools and implementing surveys to collect stakeholder feedback and improve quality
Introduction to designing and organizing the internal QA system in higher education institutions based on the AUN-QA standards (25 standards)
Consultation and answers regarding areas for improvement according to expert recommendations for the accreditation of 3 study programs (IBM, CSE, BMS)
Discussion: Departments and functional offices raise issues; experts provide consultation and answers
Within the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đinh Thành Việt arranged various interactive activities to engage participants in actively exploring, raising questions, and giving feedback related to the operation of the internal QA system.
After completing the training course, the VNUK Testing and Quality Assurance Team will take the lead in reviewing and improving the internal QA system, including: developing policies, procedures, and supporting tools, building an information system, organizing the internal QA network, developing strategic QA plans, as well as long-term and short-term plans to implement at the VN-UK Institute For Research and Executive Education
