The training programs of the VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, University of Danang, meet quality education standards.

On November 11th, the Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Danang (UD), together with the Education Quality Accreditation Council and the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vinh University, held a ceremony to announce the decision and present the education quality accreditation certificates for three regular undergraduate training programs at VNUK.

Based on the external evaluation results that began at the end of 2022, on September 24th, 2023, the Education Quality Accreditation Council and the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vinh University convened a meeting to review the external evaluation results, discuss, deliberate, and vote to approve the resolution. The proud outcome is that all three VNUK training programs: International Business Administration; Computer Science and Engineering; and Biomedical Science met the education quality standards issued by the Minister of Education and Training.

Dr. Phan Hung Thu, representative of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vinh University, announced the official accreditation decision for these three programs. Dr. Tran Dinh Quang, Director of the Center, presented the accreditation certificates to VNUK’s leadership representatives and highly praised VNUK’s efforts in development and innovation over recent years. He expressed confidence that the Institute will maintain training quality at an international standard and will achieve even more breakthrough changes in the coming years.

Attending and speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Phan Minh Duc – Chairman of the University of Danang Council – also reviewed the outstanding achievements of VNUK during the 2022-2023 academic year and praised the Institute’s leadership as well as the entire staff working at VNUK. Dr. Phan Minh Duc also shared the difficulties that VNUK is currently facing and expressed his understanding and commitment to accompany VNUK with the orientation of developing VNUK into an international university, a member university of the University of Danang.

As a relatively young affiliated unit of the University of Danang, over 9 years of construction and development, VNUK has encountered numerous challenges in student recruitment, developing its team, and infrastructure. However, with the close attention and direction from the University of Danang leadership, as well as the support and assistance from the Office, functional departments, and the sharing spirit of member universities and units under the University of Danang, the VNUK collective has united to overcome difficulties and made great efforts to complete the first accreditation cycle for three training programs: International Business Administration; Computer Science and Engineering; and Biomedical Science — right after reaching sufficient numbers of graduates from the initial enrollment cohorts.

This marks another important milestone in VNUK’s continuous efforts to develop comprehensive training programs, serving as a bridge of inspiration in education to help students develop critical thinking, skills, and resilience in the digital and modern era.

Based on feedback and recommendations from the leadership of the University of Danang, the external evaluation experts, and the suggestions of the Education Quality Accreditation Council, Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vinh University, on behalf of VNUK’s leadership, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Hương sincerely expressed gratitude and committed that the Institute will continue to strive and plan to further enhance the quality of training programs to meet the expectations of the University of Danang’s leadership, faculty, and students.

Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Hương also extended thanks and encouragement to the entire staff and employees who have contributed to VNUK’s strong development over the past time, and expressed hope that VNUK will successfully complete the second cycle of quality assessment for its training programs.
