On April 12, 2024, the University of Danang (UD) solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the 13th University of Danang Student Sports Festival at the Sports Center, Faculty of Physical Education, UD. The event was attended by sports delegations from member universities across the city.

This year, the VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Danang, is proudly sending 40 athletes to compete in five different sports, including: Men’s Basketball, Men’s Football, Table Tennis, Badminton, and Chess. The competitions are taking place from April 12 to April 26, with a spirit of determination, enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and fair play.

Especially on the very first day of the Festival, the VNUK Basketball Club delivered an impressive performance in a thrilling match against a strong rival – the University of Technology and Education. With outstanding teamwork and perseverance, VNUK secured a convincing victory with a score of 32 – 29.

The shining moments of the Men’s Basketball Team on the opening day are not only the fruits of their relentless training but also a great source of encouragement for the other VNUK athletes competing in the remaining four sports. While challenges still lie ahead, the Festival provides an invaluable opportunity for athletes to connect, learn, and strengthen solidarity among universities.

We extend our best wishes to the 40 athletes representing VNUK in this year’s Festival, hoping that you will continue to “ignite the fire” and give your all, both during and after the competition.
