International Scholarships for Excellence

Introduction

This scholarship is for international students with outstanding achievements in academics and extracurricular activities, with the potential for growth at VNUK. The scholarship seeks an international, broad mindset, adaptability, and desire to contribute to making a change for the world.

Scholarship Value

• The scholarship varies from 25 to 100% of the tuition fee for 1 to 2 academic years.

Requirements for consideration and grant of scholarships

• Being an international student with a nationality other than Vietnam; 
• Having a high school academic record of at least 7/10;
• Obtaining the international IELTS score of 6.0 if their countries’ high school language is not English. 
• Commiting to complete training programs at VNUK or participating in dual degree transfer programs of VNUK.

Criteria for consideration and grant of scholarships

• Academic achievement based on transcripts (GPA score or results of international high school exams (eg ACCA/SAT/ACT scores…).
• Achievements in extracurricular activities: Awards, extracurricular programs, academic research activities, arts, and culture;
• Personal characteristics are assessed through an interview with the Scholarship Review Committee: forward-thinking, sociable, sharing, responsible, and have leadership qualities.

Requirements for maintaining the scholarship

• Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7/4 during the scholarship period. Scholarship recipients may be required to refund the scholarship if this requirement is not met partially.
• Participate in at least one promotional activity for the school’s image and scholarships (if any), including posting articles, and videos, attending admissions counseling sessions, scholarships, networking events, etc.

Scholarship Application

• Scholarship Application Form and Letter of Motivation (750 words minimum);
• High school academic results; 
• Copies of achievements and certificates of extracurricular activities (if any);
• Passport copy;
• Letter of recommendation from a high school teacher in the host country.
