Innovation Scholarship

Introduction

This scholarship is open to 12th grade students matriculating into a training program at the Institute and students studying at the Institute. Candidates are students who have leadership qualities, pioneering and service spirit, have made contributions to create change and play an important role in creating value for the community. The scholarship is prioritized for women participating in science and technology activities.

Scholarship Value

  • The scholarship is worth from 05 to 20 million VND.
  • The scholarship is accompanied by a course (free of charge) at the Institute’s Professional Skills Center during the year of the scholarship.

Requirements for scholarship consideration

  • 12th-grade students who have been matriculated to VNUK and have met the Institute’s entrance English requirements OR students who are studying at the Institute following the required English learning progress and have studied for a minimum of 12 credits in the most recent semester with a GPA of 2.5/4 or higher;
  • Students have achievements which are included but not limited to one of the following criteria:
    1. Being a community leader, actively establishing or leading your organization for at least 1 year, creating a positive influence in the community;
    2. Has achieved great achievements related to the environment, climate change, education, narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor, gender equality, etc.
    3. Have scientific and technical initiatives that are recognized and applied by a governmental organization or an enterprise. The Board will review the suitability of this organization.

Criteria for consideration and grant of scholarships

  • The candidate’s role in innovative projects, creating value for the community and the scale of the project in which the candidate is involved;
  • Student’s potential to be a future leader;
  • Personal characteristics such as sympathy, responsibility to the community, etc.

Requirements for scholarship’s maintanance

  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5/4 during the 1 semester of scholarship.
  • Commit to supporting the community through an average of 20 hours of attendance per quarter both on and off campus.
  • Participate in the Student Leadership Development Program.
  • Participate in at least one promotional activity for the Institute and for the scholarship (if any), including posting articles, videos, attending admissions counseling sessions, scholarships, networking events, etc.

Scholarship Application

  • Scholarship Application and Letter of Motivation (minimum 700 words)
  • Documents proving the participation in projects with reports on achieved results;
  • Copies of achievements and certificates of participation in extracurricular activities;
  • A letter of recommendation from a direct leader, peer or head of the organization in which the candidate has joined.
