Overview
Introduction to the Application Development Program
The Application Development undergraduate program at the Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Danang, is an advanced-quality curriculum initiated and funded under the directive of the Government of Vietnam to meet international education standards.
The overall objective of the program is to train outstanding Application Development engineers for both domestic and international labor markets. Graduates are equipped with comprehensive professional competence, the ability to pursue higher levels of study, and the capacity for lifelong learning.

Program Objectives
Knowledge: Graduates of the Application Development program possess solid expertise in Computer Science and Engineering, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources in both domestic and international labor markets, while being well-prepared for postgraduate study.
Skills: Graduates acquire both technical and soft skills, enabling them to participate in the development of information systems, knowledge systems, and software systems that meet socio-economic needs.
Attitude: Graduates demonstrate professional responsibility, proactive communication, and a positive attitude toward continuous learning in the field of Computer Science and Engineering.
Program Highlights
Focus on personal capacity development
In addition to providing students with academic knowledge and technical skills, the program equips them with essential professional competencies such as working in multicultural environments, personal development planning, time management, customer needs analysis, product design, and project management. The curriculum is student-centered, recognizing each learner as a unique individual who deserves dedicated support and personalized guidance.
English-Medium Instruction
Students who have not achieved IELTS 5.5 will enroll in the International Foundation Program (including 2 specialized subjects) along with 3 undergraduate-level courses in the first year. Students who have achieved IELTS 5.5 or an equivalent score will take 5 specialized courses in the first year. From the second year onwards, all courses will be delivered entirely in English.
Strong international linkages
The faculty team consists of international lecturers and lecturers who graduated from developed countries.
The program is delivered entirely in English, utilizing advanced teaching methods and curricula from leading educational systems, enabling students to easily transfer or pursue higher education in developed countries.
Students are exposed to an international working environment through study tours, student exchange activities, and internships in various countries worldwide at preferential costs.
They also have the opportunity to participate in exchange and transfer programs such as 1+3, 2+2, and 3+1, as well as cultural exchange activities at top partner universities in the United Kingdom, Eastern Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and more.
Focus on real-world application and professional attitude
Students are provided with training and mentorship from industry experts from the early years of study, enabling them to discover and develop their own passions and career directions.
The curriculum includes multiple internship modules, designed based on the extensive experience of Aston University and lecturers who graduated from leading educational systems. Students will have opportunities to intern at top companies and organizations in Vietnam and worldwide, thereby gaining a competitive advantage through hands-on experience in professional working environments.
In addition to specialized knowledge, students are also trained in awareness, attitude, and behavior, as well as creative and entrepreneurial thinking, together with essential transferable skills required in the modern era.

- Year 1: Students are equipped with major-specific English proficiency and essential soft skills, preparing them for subsequent years.
- Year 2: Students study foundational knowledge and core techniques of the major.
- Year 3: Students deepen their knowledge in the major, learning directly from industry experts from companies such as LogiGear, NovaHub, Gameloft, CodeGym… Students then participate in a 6-month internship at relevant companies to gain practical insights and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world projects.
- Year 4: Students return to campus to study advanced specialized courses aligned with their chosen career path and apply all accumulated knowledge from both university and industry experiences to complete their graduation project.

Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the program will be able to:
Apply knowledge and social skills to work effectively and demonstrate professional conduct in the field of Information Technology.
Solve complex problems in economic, political, social, and legal contexts by integrating Information Technology and other scientific disciplines.
Demonstrate critical thinking, creativity, entrepreneurial mindset, professionalism, ethical standards, and professional responsibility.
Communicate and present ideas, solutions, or IT products effectively in English, achieving at least IELTS 5.5 or an equivalent standard.
Design, implement, and operate IT systems within enterprise, social, and organizational contexts.
Plan and manage IT projects efficiently.
Graduation Requirements
To be eligible for graduation, students must:
Have no pending criminal charges or disciplinary actions leading to suspension at the time of graduation consideration.
Complete all required courses and accumulated the total number of credits in the training program.
Achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
Obtain an international IELTS certificate with a minimum overall band score of 5.5, or an equivalent qualification as regulated by VNUK.
Hold valid certificates in National Defense Education and Physical Education.
Fulfill all tuition fee obligations for all enrolled courses prior to graduation.
Meet any additional requirements set forth by VNUK.
