At VNUK, the IBM major is taught entirely in English by full-time and visiting lecturers, all holding Master’s or PhD degrees from countries with advanced education systems such as the UK, Australia, and the USA. Additionally, students take some courses with experts and managers from multinational corporations (all holding Master’s or PhD degrees) such as Pepsico, Shopee, and IKEA.
The curriculum is reviewed annually, benchmarked against leading global business programs, with input from managers at multinational companies in Vietnam and abroad, innovative entrepreneurs, and local business owners. Strong partnerships between VNUK and organizations ensure high employment opportunities for graduates.
From the first year, students can intern at foreign-invested organizations and enterprises. Throughout the program, students engage in simulations, case analyses, project-based learning, and other activities to experience real-world environments. Field trips to companies help students better understand theoretical knowledge. VNUK also frequently hosts talks with entrepreneurs and managers from major or foreign enterprises in Vietnam, providing students with practical insights into the business world.

Tram Doan Nguyen Bao, IBM student, 2018–2019 cohort
“Tram was the first intern our PR & Marketing Department received, and she achieved remarkable results during her internship. She was proactive and curious about the work we were doing to maintain the Four Seasons brand in Vietnam, especially during the challenging Covid-19 period. Despite taking on a completely new role, she quickly grasped the requirements and essence of writing and translating promotional content for social media, contributing ideas beyond her scope.
Tram also learned tools such as Sprout Social for posting and managing our social media content. As her direct supervisor, I highly appreciate her understanding of the demanding nature of PR work and her dedication to completing tasks, even beyond normal working hours. As a team member, she supported all our activities, from indoor photo shoots for culinary ads to livestreams for our global audience and large-scale events at the Resort.”
