As part of the Fall 2025 exchange semester, the VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK) had the pleasure of welcoming a group of exchange students from the United States for a friendly badminton match with VNUK students. This event followed the international football match in Hoi An with Norwegian students, further highlighting VNUK’s strong spirit of cultural exchange, international connection, and global learning environment.

A Lively Atmosphere of Sportsmanship and Cultural Connection
The badminton exchange took place in an atmosphere filled with energy, friendliness, and fair play. The matches not only fostered healthy competition but also provided valuable opportunities for students from both sides to interact, share stories, and gain a deeper understanding of each other’s cultures and lifestyles. Smiles, exciting rallies, and enthusiastic cheers made the event both engaging and memorable.

VNUK Students as Active Cultural Bridges
A special highlight of the event was the enthusiasm and initiative of VNUK students, who played a vital role in helping the exchange students quickly adapt and feel at home. The VNUK-ers actively supported the event as guides, interpreters, organizers, and companions throughout various activities. Their contributions helped create a warm, inclusive environment and enriched the international students’ experience at VNUK.

The Educational Value of Sports Exchange Activities
Such sporting events go far beyond recreation – they also hold strong educational and developmental value by:
- Promoting cross-cultural exchange and intercultural understanding;
- Enhancing teamwork, communication, and leadership skills;
- Strengthening mental and physical well-being, supporting better academic performance;
- Building international friendships and networks, which may lead to future academic and professional collaborations.

Continuing the International Engagement at VNUK
The badminton match with U.S. students is part of VNUK’s ongoing series of international activities during the Fall 2025 semester. The Institute will continue to host sports, cultural, and academic exchange programs—fostering a dynamic global learning environment where students grow holistically both inside and outside the classroom.
