The workshop “Youth Leading the Way: Healthy Cities for All”, co-organized by UNICEF Viet Nam and the Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Danang, took place in a joyful and energetic atmosphere.
As a pioneer in innovative education, VNUK has been organizing STEM, entrepreneurship, and creativity platforms for students for many years, contributing to the creation of a dynamic and holistic learning environment.
The event welcomed over 120 in-person participants and more than 100 online attendees from Australia, the United States, and Viet Nam.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thanh An, Social Policy Specialist at UNICEF Viet Nam, highlighted that the “Healthy Cities for Adolescents” project was launched with the aspiration to create a city where everyone—especially young people—can live happily, safely, with dignity, and have opportunities to develop their potential. With the valuable support of the Botnar Foundation through Ecorys, the project aims to empower adolescents—particularly those from vulnerable groups—to take part in shaping the cities they live in.
The workshop concluded with a spirit of inspiration, connection, and commitment to action. Through open and creative dialogue, young people were not only beneficiaries but also co-creators—actively contributing to the vision of sustainable, equitable, and future-oriented urban development.
Let’s look back at the unforgettable moments from the event and continue to spread the spirit of building sustainable cities—where every young person can live, grow, and shine!
