On September 28th, the VNUK Quality Assurance Council, University of Danang, held its first meeting for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Meeting Agenda:
After the opening remarks and introductions of the delegates, the Council proceeded with the following key points:
Introduction of the VNUK Quality Assurance Council, University of Danang.
Approval of the VNUK Quality Assurance Plan for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Approval of the VNUK Quality Assurance Operational Regulations, University of Danang.
Core comparison of the four major accreditation standards: ABET, ACBSP, AACSB, and AUN. The Council provided feedback on the selection of the most appropriate standard for VNUK’s current situation.
Presentation of the database storage layout according to IQA standards at VNUK.

Conclusions after the meeting:
Dr. Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Hương, Chairwoman of the Council, made the following conclusions during the meeting:
In the upcoming period, the Institute will develop a plan for improving the quality of education based on the recommendations of the External Evaluation Team.
The Quality Assurance Team (KT&ĐBCLGD) will revise the Operational Regulations for Quality Assurance at VNUK, University of Danang, based on feedback from the Council and will finalize it by October 2023.
The Quality Assurance Team will develop short-term, medium-term, and long-term quality assurance strategies and policies. They will lead the development of the IQA system and guide departments on how to maintain consistent and synchronized data storage throughout the Institute.
Additional IT staff will be hired to support departments and teams, ensuring smoother and more efficient operations.
Agreement on the direction: The Institute will build an internal quality assurance system following the proposed model by the Quality Assurance Team and will continue to improve it for accreditation according to the AUN-QA standards. If resources are sufficient, the Institute may explore accreditation under international standards such as ASIIN and FIBAA.
