1. Why VNUK Students Should Join

People often say, “Know yourself, know your career – and you will succeed in every battle.” But how exactly do we “know” ourselves?

They also say, “Just apply, and you will be accepted.” Yet what if we fear being eliminated at the very first stage?

They say, “With enough practice, your professionalism and manners will impress.” But can we truly create a lasting impression in the workplace?

All the answers to these concerns—questions that accompany VNUKers throughout their four-year voyage—will be revealed in the Career Orientation & Professional Workplace Skills Workshop Series, launched by the VNUK Career Service.

Dropping anchor at three “islands,” VNUK “explorers” will have the opportunity to meet our “Island Chiefs”—distinguished guest speakers. Without a doubt, VNUKers will need to bring an extra “bag” to carry away the wealth of knowledge on building a career roadmap and leveling up job application skills and professional conduct that awaits ahead.

2. Workshop Series Itinerary

Know your “voyage route” to conquer each “island” in a truly amazing way—ensuring you do not miss out on any valuable opportunities.

Island 1: Self-Awareness & Career Path Development

• Objective: Gain tools to reflect on yourself and analyze the job market, in order to design a suitable career roadmap.
• Time: Full day, Sunday, 6 November 2022
  (Morning: 08:30 – 11:45; Afternoon: 13:30 – 16:45)
• Format: Offline at VNUK Maker Innovation Space – 158A Le Loi, Danang

Island 2: CV, Cover Letter Guidelines & Interview Tips

• Objective: Learn how to craft an effective Curriculum Vitae (CV), write a compelling Cover Letter, and master interview tips from “Island Chief” TopCV—Vietnam’s leading online CV creation platform, which has helped over 5,000,000 job seekers increase their success rate by 80%.
• Time: Evening sessions, Monday & Wednesday – 7 & 9 November 2022 (19:00 – 21:00)
• Format: Online via Microsoft Teams

Island 3: Professionalism in the Workplace

• Objective: Master professional conduct and etiquette in the workplace—from the smallest tasks to the “hidden rules” of communication and collaboration.
• Time: Full day, Saturday, 19 November 2022
  (Morning: 08:30 – 11:45; Afternoon: 13:30 – 16:45)
• Format: Offline at VNUK Maker Innovation Space – 158A Le Loi, Danang

Completing the full Career Discovery Voyage will equip you step-by-step with self-awareness, professional skills, and workplace etiquette—so you will be ready to “set sail” toward any promising destination. “Opportunities only come when you are truly prepared.”
