1. Admission Methods for VNUK in 2025

For the 2025 – 2026 academic year, VN – UK Institute for Research and Education (VNUK) will admit students through 04 methods for all majors/specializations:

• Admission through VNUK’s own entrance exam.

• Admission based on high school academic records (học bạ).

• Admission based on the 2025 High School Graduation Exam results.

• Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

For the 2025 – 2026 academic year, VNUK expects to admit 610 students for 13 majors/specializations, as detailed below:

Introduction of 04 New Majors/Specializations

The world is entering the 4.0 era, where technology, artificial intelligence, and continuous innovation are shaping the future. To meet the increasing demands of the labor market, we are proud to introduce 4 new majors for admission in 2025, including:

• Hotel Management (under the Hotel Management major)

• Biomedical Biotechnology (under the Biotechnology major)

• VLSI Design (under the Computer Engineering major)

• Applied Artificial Intelligence (under the Computer Science major)

Expansion of Admission Methods

VNUK will apply 04 admission methods for all majors/specializations in 2025, including: High School Graduation Exam results, academic records (học bạ), VNUK’s own entrance exam, and direct admission according to the Ministry of Education and Training’s regulations.

Increase in the Number of Admission Combinations

In 2025, VNUK will increase the number of admission combinations for all majors/specializations from 4 combinations to 6 combinations.

4. Detailed Description of New Majors/Specializations

– Hotel Management:

The Hotel Management (HM) major at VN– UK Institute for Research and Education (VNUK) aims to train a highly skilled workforce equipped with both basic and advanced knowledge in managing, organizing, and operating activities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, and more.

Students will study subjects such as Tourism and Hotel Industry Principles, Hotel Operations, Event Management, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, and Marketing in the Hospitality Industry.

The program combines theoretical learning with hands-on experience through mandatory internships at top hotels, resorts, and event companies such as InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Vietnam TravelMart, and Sun Group.

Duration: 4 years.

– Biotechnology:

The Biotechnology (BT) major at VNUK provides students with a solid foundation in pharmaceutical biotechnology, microbiological biotechnology, and bioinformatics, helping them master advanced technologies and apply them in practice.

The program aims to train high-quality human resources with in-depth knowledge and skills, combining modern supplementary knowledge in research and the development of biotechnology products.

Designed according to international standards, the program integrates theory with practical experience, keeping students updated on the latest trends in the industry. After graduation, students can work at research institutes, hospitals, biotechnology companies, multinational corporations, or even start their own ventures in the promising biotechnology field.

Duration: 4 years.

– Computer Engineering:

The Computer Engineering major at VNUK is designed to train a highly skilled workforce with in-depth knowledge in electronics, embedded programming, VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) design, AI hardware, and semiconductor materials.

The VLSI Design specialization, which has attracted significant attention from the government and large companies in the Vietnamese market such as Intel, NVIDIA, Samsung, Foxconn, Qualcomm, Bosch, Renesas, Synopsys, VinGroup, and FPT Semiconductor, offers students opportunities to intern and work in dynamic, professional, and highly promising environments.

Graduates of the Computer Engineering major will have the chance to become VLSI Design Engineers, hardware engineers, embedded system engineers, IoT specialists, or semiconductor project managers at the aforementioned companies.

– Applied Artificial Intelligence:

The Applied Artificial Intelligence specialization, part of the Computer Science major, is a new strategic program at VNUK.

With an advanced curriculum, VNUK aims to train top engineers and specialists in AI fields including machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics, AI, AI programming and application development, and mathematical and statistical analysis.
