    VNUK Works with the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang to Promote International Education Cooperation

    Recently, the leadership delegation of VN–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), The University of Danang, held a working meeting with the Consulate General of the Lao PDR in Da Nang to discuss opportunities for strengthening educational cooperation, expanding learning opportunities, and promoting academic exchange between Vietnam and Laos.

    Strengthening Educational Connections with Laos

    The meeting marked an important step in VNUK’s strategy to expand its international partnerships and cooperation. As the Institute continues its development journey, VNUK aims to become a university with strong international standing in the region.

    Representatives from the Consulate General of the Lao PDR in Da Nang who welcomed the VNUK delegation included:

    • Vonekham Chương Ma Ny Vông – Consul General of Laos in Da Nang
    • Phusavang Phommachack – Chief of Office, Consulate General of the Lao PDR in Da Nang
    • Khanthaly Khamphilavong – Education Management Officer, Consulate General of the Lao PDR in Da Nang
    • Latdavan Inthaphone – Office Secretary, Consulate General of the Lao PDR in Da Nang

    Expanding International Learning Opportunities for Lao Students

    During the meeting, Nguyễn Hiệp, President of VNUK, shared the Institute’s international development vision and expressed a strong interest in strengthening collaboration with educational institutions in Laos.

    One of the key topics discussed was expanding learning opportunities for Lao students, particularly those who aspire to study in an international academic environment.

    Through its undergraduate and joint master’s degree programs, VNUK hopes to provide Lao students with access to modern education, English-taught programs, and a multicultural academic environment.

    Promoting Academic Exchange and Research Collaboration

    In addition to academic programs, both sides discussed the potential development of faculty and student exchange initiatives, as well as collaborative research projects in the future.

    These initiatives are expected to contribute to:

    • Enhancing academic and research capacity among partner institutions
    • Promoting cultural and academic exchange between students from both countries
    • Building a sustainable education cooperation network between Vietnam and Laos

    Connecting with Universities and High Schools in Laos

    With the support and connection from the Consulate General of the Lao PDR in Da Nang, VNUK also expressed its interest in establishing partnerships with reputable universities and high schools in Laos.

    Such partnerships could facilitate a range of activities, including:

    • International student recruitment
    • Student exchange programs
    • Joint research and training initiatives
    • Development of collaborative educational projects

    Towards a Regional Education Cooperation Network

    The meeting took place in a positive and open atmosphere, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening educational cooperation between the two sides.

    In the coming years, VNUK looks forward to implementing concrete collaborative initiatives with educational partners in Laos, thereby contributing to stronger academic connections within Southeast Asia and creating more international learning opportunities for students across the region.
