In the context where innovation and digital transformation are becoming key drivers of development, the entrepreneurial spirit is spreading strongly among young people. Keeping up with this trend, the Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Training (VNUK), The University of Danang, continues to organize the VNUK Innovation Challenge 2025. This is an annual platform that encourages high school and university students to develop creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and turn practical startup ideas into reality.

This year, the competition returns with the theme “Creative Solutions for a Sustainable Future – Blue–Green Sustainable Future”, encouraging ideas and projects that focus on:

  • Climate change adaptation

  • Efficient use of resources and environmental protection

  • Improving urban quality of life

  • Contributing to sustainable development for the community

Important timelines:

  • January 3, 2026: Registration deadline

  • January 4, 2026: Opening ceremony

  • January 18, 2026: Semi-final round

  • January 25, 2026: Final round & Award ceremony

Participants and participation format:

  • Eligible participants: High school students and college/university students nationwide.

  • Format: Individual or team registration (02–05 members).

  • Note: The organizing committee supports team matching for individual applicants.

Competition categories:

  • U-Invent (Category A): for high school students nationwide.

  • U-Innovate (Category B): for VNUK students currently taking the Design Thinking course.

  • U-Startup (Category C) (): for high school students and college/university students nationwide.
    (    ) For this category, a VNUK student must be the team leader.
