Dang Thi Nhu Y obtained her PhD in Natural Science and Bio-Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium (2019). Her research is situated in the field of environmental health, with a special focus on nutrient cycles, water quality, environmental pollution and climate change in relation to human health. She has also investigated the implications of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). She has given invited talks at international conferences, involved in collaborative research projects and received numerous awards. In addition to her passion for researching, she is also passionate about teaching. She has begun her career as a university lecturer since 2010. She strives to inspire her students to become independent thinkers and doers through ‘Learning by Doing’. She is ambitious for her students to become global citizens and to enter global job markets.
