Introduction
Inspiring Scholarship is to support students with good academic achievements, who are admitted to a training program at the Institute or students who are studying at the Institute but have to deal with financial problems, or who are parts of disadvantaged groups.
The scholarship program is awarded to applicants who fall under one of the following special circumstances:
- Students with difficult living circumstances (with a local confirmation of poor or near-poor households), priority is given to students in disadvantaged areas or belonging to ethnic minorities.
- Students who are not from poor or near-poor households but face the risk of not being able to pursue or continue pursuing their desired programs at the Institute because of financial issues.
- Students who are disabled and at risk of lacking development opportunities.
- Students have adverse health conditions or experienced a particularly difficult situation that affects their further academic pursuit.
Scholarships are awarded based on financial need with no special requirements for academic achievement. However, the Council will additionally evaluate other criteria such as personal achievement, participation in extracurricular activities, characteristics, orientation, and contribution to the community.
Scholarship Value
- Incentive scholarships are awarded annually in the form of tuition fee exemption/reduction of the student’s training major;
- The scholarship is worth 25% to 100% of the tuition fee from 1 to 4 years studying at VNUK.
Requirements for consideration and grant of scholarships
- Graduate from High School with good or excellent academic results for students in grade 12 and cumulative average score of grade B (2.5/4) or higher for students studying at VNUK.
- Have the English proficiency that meets the entry requirements for students in grade 12 and meets the current English progress requirements for students studying at VNUK.
- Commit to completing the training program at VNUK.
Criteria for consideration and grant of scholarships
- Financial need related to studying at VNUK;
- The degree of participation in social activities through extracurricular activities or community programs;
- Have strong personal characteristics that show a can-do attitude to overcome difficulties, strive to grow, have clear goals and future orientation.
Requirements for maintaining the scholarship in the next semester
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.2/4 during the scholarship period;
- Participate in at least 02 (two) activities to promote the school’s image and for scholarships (if any), including posting articles, videos, attending admissions counseling sessions, scholarships, networking events…
- If a scholarship award letter is required, students may need to submit an annual report to sponsors, sharing their gratitude, experiences, and benefits they have received as a result of the scholarship.
Scholarship Application
- Scholarship application form and Letter of Motivation (700 words).
- A copy of confirmation or other proof of living circumstances;
- Results of the English entrance test (for students in grade 12) and the international IELTS certificate or the English Mock Test at VNUK (for students studying at the Institute);
- Copies of certificates of participation in extracurricular activities that do not need to be notarized (if any);
- Letter of recommendation from a high school teacher (for 12 students) or a lecturer who has taught at the Institute in the last 1 academic year (for students of VNUK).
